| A popular addition to my line of different wood combination flutes is
this lovely Tiger Maple/Bubinga/Purple Heart flute. I have this flute available
in the keys of F#m & Em. The maple gives a rich, warm, clean tone with none of
the windy, edgy overtones. The main body of the flute is constructed of Tiger
Maple. The bands are of Bubinga, (an African Rosewood), separated by smaller
bands of Purple Heart. The bird is of Big Leaf Maple Burl. I have finished this
flute with a rich, clear polyurethane to bring out the stunning beauty of the
woods and provide this instrument with the best protection from dings, UV rays
and moisture. I've inlaid Sleeping Beauty turquoise cabs around the flute on the
bands to represent
the four directions as well as cabs along the top. This flute is
not only a showpiece to look at, but is a fine musical instrument. I am confident that the owner of this flute will not
only be proud to show it off, but the warm, rich tone and precise tuning will
make it a real a real audience pleaser as well.
The flute that you will receive is very similar to the one pictured below. All
the inlays and different woods are the same. Coloration and figure will vary
somewhat from the photo, however the flute you will receive will be of the same
