Beautiful, delicate, sumptuous Redwood Burl Flutes. These instruments are meticulously crafted for the discerning collector. I have two to offer on this page. They are both tuned to the key of F sharp minor. The first flute has some contrasting sapwood (cream colored) along with crushed turquoise used to fill the natural voids in the burl. The second flute is also outstanding, but without the sapwood accents. The end caps are made of Claro Walnut and Tiger Maple. The birds are Maple Burl Eagles sitting atop Eastern Cedar bases. Mind you, as with most burls, especially Redwood, these instruments are somewhat fragile. If you want something to knock around with, these Native American Style flutes are best left in a safe place. Normal handling is OK, but you don't want to abuse this wood. If you do choose one of these instruments, treat it with care and respect. You will be rewarded with a lifetime of beauty and pleasure. Rather than go on about how lovely these flutes look and sound, I'll let you peruse the photos and sound files. I think the images and audio speak for themselves.
