This is my lowest pitched flute, so far. It is in the key of A below Middle C. It is a BIG flute. So is the sound. The flute is made from Paduak, an African wood. It is clear and the hardness is somewhere between Walnut and Eastern Cedar. I'm using this for the large flute because the wood is so consistent. Below is a picture of this flute. Click on the picture to hear the flute. Hear the Bass A minor pentatonic scale. (Mode 1) The bird on this flute is made from Tiger Maple. It adds a nice contrast to the rich hue of the wood. To hear a short solo played on this flute click here. This flute sells for $350.00. If I don't have one in stock, I will begin work on yours as soon as I receive the order. Measurements for this flute are;35" to 36" Overall Length. 23 1/2" (Approx.) from mouthpiece to the first finger hole. Finger holes are 1 5/8" apart to 1 1/4" apart. Your hands must not be small or inflexible to handle this flute. It's BIG. But so is the sound. |
