The beginning of a new line of Laughing Crow FlutesNow that I'm set up with a gun drill, I can take advantage of a host of woods that weren't possible to utilize with the traditional methods. This Amboyna Burl F#m with end caps and a Maple Burl Eagle is one of the first burl wood flutes that I have created. The wood is naturally this color and has all the interesting and beautiful aspects of the Amboyna Burl incorporated into this instrument. Amboyna Burl comes from Southeast Asia. It is a rare and expensive wood, but one of the most beautiful burls that I have seen, yet. Not only does this flute look fabulous, she has a rich, clear tone to match the sensuous figure. I guarantee that you will be happy not only with the stunning beauty of this instrument, but that you will find the tone, playability and voice of this Native American style flute to be exceptional. She doesn't require much breath to get the volume you want. If played with more pressure, you will hear more overtones and character from each of the notes. This instrument is very expressive and will respond to all the nuances of your breath and emotion. I could talk all day about this instrument, but I'll let you judge for yourself. Click here to listen to a dry sample of this flute with no reverb.
The woods used are Amboyna Burl for the body, Purple Heart and Bubinga for the end caps, Big Leaf Maple Burl for the Eagle and inlay along the top as well as a turquoise cabochon inlay that looks a little like our Mother Earth. Stand not included. Click here to listen to a dry sample of this flute with no reverb. Click here to listen to this flute without reverb. Click here to listen to this flute with reverb. As with all Laughing Crow flutes, this instrument comes with a 30 "No questions asked" return policy.
