Can you tell that I LOVE Curly Maple? So do my customers. I've chosen to combine the light figured Maple with the darker figured Claro Walnut. The Walnut accents are separated by bands of Bubinga. The tip of the mouthpiece is of Eastern Cedar and the bird is of Claro Walnut, as well. Each piece of Curly Maple is different and we can see many variations in the grain of the wood used in this flute. This instrument is beautiful, yes. However, it is also one of the sweetest flutes I've made, yet. I'm sorely tempted to keep it for my collection, but seeing it go to someone who appreciates the beauty and the sound will inspire me to create another with such a haunting, precise tone. To me, this is the ultimate sound of the Native American Flute. The MP3 files cannot do it justice. This flute hits all the notes with ease. They are clear and sweet. Basically, all I have to do is think about the music and it comes out of this instrument. You might think I'm trying to make up a line here, but I kid you not when I say this is one of the best flutes I've ever played in my life. I know that if a good musician gets their hands on this flute, they'll agree. Anyway, I'll let you listen and look.
