On this page you can see my Eastern Aromatic Cedar/Amboyna Burl flute in Gm. A real performer, this flute will not let you down. She's sweet, strong and clear. She's a one of a kind, not to be repeated, wonderful instrument that you can play as softly and sweetly as you like, but if you want to "stand and deliver" she's up to the task. Personally, I like the Gm flutes when I'm out there in front of people playing and I think you, as well as your audience, will be taken away by the tone and clarity of this instrument. Of course, as always, I want you to be the judge. I have prepared a "dry" version of this instrument in MP3 form as well as the "wet" version which you would use in your recordings should you desire to do so. This flute is a sweetheart and I'm sure you'll agree after listening to her and seeing the photos below. Another one of a kind instrument. The burl end caps are separated by a layer of Purple Heart. The woods in this instrument come from all around the globe. The Amboyna burl Eagle and end caps come from Southeast Asia, the Purple Heart comes from South America and the Cedar comes from the South Eastern United States. The turqouise inlays between the finger holes come from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Bisbee, Arizona. An eclectic collection of woods and stone all come together to create this sweet sounding Native American style flute created for you by master flute maker, Richard Maynard of Laughing Crow Flutes. I hope you enjoy the music and the photos.
Thanks for taking the time to see and hear this unique instrument that comes from the Earth Ship workshop of Laughing Crow Flutes outside Taos, New Mexico. This is a great flute for those with smaller hands as well as a wonderful flute to get started with due to it's accommodating size. |
