Here you see an outstanding piece of Ambrosia Tiger Maple used to create this wonderful instrument. The mouthpiece is made from Bubinga with a sandwich of Purple Heart. the bird is made from Big Leaf Maple Burl sitting on a Cedar platform. The inlay between the finger holes is Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. This flute is in the key of F#m and has a very smooth, powerful voice. The coloring of the wood is natural. The finish that I use is as clear as water and it really brings out the various natural curl and color of the wood. I think that you will find the clarity, tone and tuning of this as well as my other flutes to be superior to what's out there on the market today. I have never ceased to strive for the best tone and with experience and accurate tooling, I have found that sweet spot that gives you the haunting, meditative, rich sound that we love so much and that only the Native American flute can provide. I have an unprocessed (dry) sample of this flute as well as a processed (wet) sample of this flute. Click on the links to hear for yourself how well this lovely instrument sings.
